This lecture introduces the basic concepts of Nuclear Physics, from the structure and properties of atomic nuclei to radioactivity, nuclear reactions, and modern experimental techniques.
Particular emphasis will be placed on how nuclei are studied using accelerators and detectors, and on the role of Nuclear Physics in science, technology, and society.
